2013, Spring, and More!

Wow it has been a long time since I have updated the blog. In a nut shell married life is amazing! I love being married to Brandon. He is one of the best things in my life. Period. Everyday I am amazed at how grateful I am that he loves me and that he asked me to marry him. I just hope he feels as lucky as I do. 

So here are a few other updates: I got a new job! I am now working at Worldmark by Wyndam, and I love it! I don't go home stressed, and I don't have to work after I clock out. When I leave the office I am done. Its fantastic. Brandon was offered a full time position with the company he has been interning with so we will be in St. George for a little while longer. I've been climbing outdoors with Brandon twice. It's been a little scary but good in getting over last years accident.

Brandon's sweet grandmother passed away and we went the the funeral in Murray. I was able to see all of his family and it was on Easter weekend so that was kind of neat. It was heartbreaking to see how sad Grandpa was. They had been married for 60 years, when he started crying that is when I lost it as well. But the funeral was beautiful and Brandon's Uncle Dave gave a beautiful talk. I wish my Grandma Sisneros could have heard it since she is still struggling with my grandpa's passing. 

I've come to appreciate the gospel more and when I can make it to sacrament that is even more important.  With my new job my week is Friday-Tuesday and my weekends are Wednesday's and Thursday's. It's been difficult, but I've discovered that keeping the Sabbath day holy is more than just a place its a state of mind. At first I tried to ignore and pretend it wasn't Sunday and I felt horrible. Since then I have put on my Sunday best, turned the station on to church music, and I read gospel related material during slow times and my break. And if I can I go to sacrament during my lunch break. So far it's been good. 

Brandon and I planned a trip to Iowa this summer. We bought our plan tickets and everything! I am super excited! We are also thinking about going to San Diego for our anniversary. Well that is all I can really think about writing at this time. Oh we planted flowers and our front porch looks less ghetto (see pictures) and our herbs that we started from seeds are starting to get big and we should be able to soon transplant them to outside in their container. I'm super excited! We have lavender, cilantro, basil, and tarragon. Well I need to get back to work. I try to post more soon. I am going to start a new project of baby blankets for our friends Kindi and Trisha who will both be having sweet little babies soon! I'll post pictures of that.

Brandon and I went on a little hike the other night in the Red Cliffs Preserve. There is this ridge that has a flag on it and Brandon has wanted to hike out to it for a very long time. We finally did it. Here are a few pictures from the hike. 

I must say I am a little proud of this shot. The lighting, angle, yeah I thought it was cool.
